Demonstration to Highlight the Power of Open Platform Technology in

(gloStream), an electronic medical records (EMR) software and practice management solutions developer serving healthcare facilities nationwide, announced today its gloEMR 4.0 EMR application will be part of a demonstration of Covisint’s on-demand collaboration platform for patient information sharing at the upcoming 2008 Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference. The conference will be located at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. The demonstration will take place February 24-28 at the Covisint booth, #1231.
During the demonstration, Covisint will use gloStream’s gloEMR 4.0 to demonstrate the value of interoperability via Covisint’s on-demand collaboration platform. The platform allows hospitals and physician practices using different healthcare informatics systems to securely share key patient information to reduce cost and improve the quality of healthcare. With gloEMR 4.0 serving as the physician-practice EMR, the demonstration will showcase interoperability by simulating the transfer of lab results to a disparate hospital-based EMR system via live connectivity.
